Automation Technician The Oilfield Automation Field Technician will provide exceptional customer service, installation, field level analysis, troubleshooting, and repair to users of LUFKINs Automation equipment. Responsibilities: * Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair various types of Oilfield Automation equipment. * Provide customers with information about LUFKINs Automation capabilities. * Document and communicate to customers and Automation supervisor the following; * Root cause of equipment problem; Proposed solution; Action plan to solve customers problem in a timely manner. * Ability to organize daily work assignments, service calls, installation, and customer follow up calls. * Learn the latest developments and technologies related to Automation products * Learn about new products offered Automation in order to provide appropriate service and installation. * Ability to interpret instructions given verbally, orally, schematically, or as a diagram in a timely manner. * Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. Qualifications: * Must have a "customer first" mentality. * Must be driven to succeed, as well as, driven to help others succeed. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Ability to install, calibrate, program, and troubleshoot a wide-range of Automation devices is a must. * Previous experience with various types of oilfield measurement devices a plus. * Experienced with programming, online changes/downloading PLCs, and operating interfaces is a plus. * Journeyman electrician is preferred. * Must have a clean driving record. Education: * High School diploma * Associates of Art or Science or higher is a plus.
