Irving Forest Products, Inc, a growing company on the leading edge of technology in the sawmill industry, is in the process of starting a new operation in Nashville Plantation (Ashland, ME), with new operations expected to startup in 2014. We are currently in need for the following positions for pre & post construction. We are looking for safety oriented, energetic individuals to join our team!
Electrical & Instrumentation Lead
Responsibilities are to assist with the installation and maintain highly technical electrical and instrumental equipment. Maintain PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo motors and process control systems. Responsible for the completion of preventative maintenance inspections, corrective actions and contribute to the overall success of the team. Other duties include: calibration, problem solving and troubleshooting equipment and process related issues. Master Electrician license, with 5+ years experience is required.
Safety & Environmental Lead
Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of current health/safety and environmental programs. Developing new procedures as needed, conducting safety & environmental training based on industry or government changes. Other responsibilities include budgets, stats, audits, and investigations. Candidates will possess a training/experience in the Safety and Environmental fields. Ability and
enthusiasm to support and implement process changes, ability to gain a fundamental understanding of Sawmills processes and business is essential.
Boiler Lead and Operators
Responsibilities are to operate and maintain boiler and other auxiliary equipment necessary for producing steam for heat and power for the sawmill. Observes various meters and gauges and takes appropriate action for safe operation. Ability to clean and repair boiler, blow tubes, and discharge sediment; regulates feed water and condensation pumps and lubricates pump equipment. Individuals must have a valid Maine Boiler Operator license and a minimum of 2 years experience.
