East Tennessee State University - Office of Research and Sponsored Programs - Center for Community Outreach and Family Services - Family Services Counselor - Level 8 - Position Contingent upon Grant Funding. Home office location is Dandridge, but will serve several surrounding counties. Essential Functions: Provide assessment and screening to referred participants, addressing five major barriers to employment: mental health, learning disabilities, child behavioral health issues, domestic violence, and alcohol and drug issues; provide intensive case management to enhance employability for Families First clients, short term counseling, advocacy, and referrals to there resources as needed. Qualifications: Master`s Degree is social work, counseling, marriage and family, psychology or related field with counseling experience required. Experience working with low-income adults and children preferred. Training and experience in solution - focused therapy, motivational interviewing, problem solving approaches, vocational rehabilitation and any barrier area described above is highly desirable.
