JVIS LLC Manufacturing Tool Repair This position includes overall responsibility for Tooling Repair construction standards, practices and maintenance of injection molding tooling. Works with Program Engineering, Process Engineering, customers and suppliers to understand, administer and comply with all customer and internal requirements and specifications. Manages sample run request as applicable to the tooling development process. Primary responsibilities keeping tool repairs current working on tool when necessary. Review and determine when outsourcing is feasible. Establish preventative maintenance frequencies, parameters and instructions for tooling. Responsible for the acceptance and approval of tooling for the molding operations and facilities prior to tool construction including compliance to tooling construction standards. Ensures costs, quality, timing, and other related aspects of project targets are met. Understands and adheres to schedule and budgetary requirements of projects. Assists Manufacturing with difficult troubleshooting problems on production equipment, tooling and processes. Assist in material usage improvements through improved processing, technology, and application approvals. Assist in customer concern problem resolution, as related to the mold process. Representative to Advanced Quality functions for tool design and construction. Studies engineering and technical publications to keep current on technological changes and developments in the industry and related fields.
