News Anchor/Reporter (Part-time Weekend Nights)
Job Location: Wichita, KS
Job Type: Part-time; weekends
Facility:
KFDI-FM
Education:
College degree in related field preferred.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; strong news writing experience required; strong problem solving abilities; high work ethics, news judgment and production skills; ability to meet deadlines and detail orientation; ability to read and decipher news source material; operate studio equipment; authoritative/conversational announcing style.
Experience:
Previous commercial radio news background or some background in radio news from a college course required.
Duties:
Five (5) minute newscast at the top of each hour, headlines and sports at the bottom of each hour; monitor emergency police/fire scanners and possible severe weather coverage under deadline in a live or recorded setting; generate story ideas; other duties as assigned by News Director.
