JOB SUMMARY


This position is a part-time position, funded entirely through the federal LAUNCH grant and is due to expire October 1, 2014. This position is responsible for coordinating, presenting, documenting, and tracking the Incredible Years (IY) training in Finney County.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

95%

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current theory, literature, legislation and resources for children and families

  • Recommend and provide feedback to the Coalition and Center staff about IY and the needs of the community related to the program. Provide direct support to Coalition members when using the Center for Children and Families

  • Work with Coalition members to market and promote IY training in the community

  • Oversee documentation of parent satisfaction and training evaluation

  • Track and maintain documents relevant to service delivery and grant expenditures for training costs

  • Ensure efficient and appropriate use of materials purchased for the purpose of IY facilitation

  • Collaborate with LAUNCH partners and providers certified in IY and provide logistical support to ensure



TRAINING


  • Obtain and continue certification in the Incredible Years

  • Coordinate/Facilitate 5 Incredible Years trainings within Finney County, prior to September 30, 2014.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Coordinate with supervisor and implement a training plan pursuant to KCSL training required of all staff and as applicable, training aligned with this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Required

  • A.A. in Early Childhood, Social Service or related field

  • Relevant volunteer or work experience may be substituted for education requirements

  • Ability to work effectively with people of all social, economic, racial and cultural backgrounds

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner


Preferred

  • Experience in early childhood setting, non-profit organization, social welfare agency or child abuse prevention group

  • Early Childhood or Human Service coursework

  • Experience presenting training to groups of adults

  • Ability to read, write and speak in English and Spanish
