This position provides general guidance and supervision to assigned staff in a designated supervision area. The Head Start Early Childhood Education Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day training and monitoring of center-based programming in assigned region.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
STAFF SUPERVISION 30%
Conduct one supervision with each staff, including staff group meetings per month and one face-to-face individual coaching each quarter.
Perform three month and annual performance reviews for each staff member supervised.
Provide support and guidance to all assigned staff with their daily job responsibilities.
Conduct frequent ongoing monitoring tasks via the GOLD and ChildPlus systems and provide input and feedback to personnel and the Management Team.
Assist with hiring New Staff within supervision area.
Share public relations responsibilities.
Review and approve ADP, leave requests and expense reports.
Oversee training of Staff.
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND HEALTH SERVICE 30%
Assist with finding and implementing developmentally appropriate materials/activities to be used with Children.
Oversee the completion of all component areas screenings and follow-ups on each Child in supervision area.
Work with Specialists to ensure all children and families receive necessary services
Review and Report on ChildPlus and GOLD data and trends in data for Home Based services as part of the School Readiness Team.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP 15%
Be familiar with the resources available in supervision area, and be able to help staff locate services in their communities for their families in the program.
Promote the continued involvement of parents in the childs education.
Oversee the recruitment of income and age eligible children needed in the region.
Oversee the collaboration efforts with agencies within supervision area, special education, and mental health specialist.
SITE SUPERVISION DUTIES 15%
Ensure compliance of Performance Standards
Review individual Child Profile and outcomes
Monitor program implementation for compliance to policies and performance standards
Maintain site buildings and ensure compliance with State Licensing Regulations
Maintain on-site master binder information and child files
Participate in any training or conferences as requested
Attend scheduled supervisor meetings, All Staffs, conferences, etc
Obtain certification in CPR and First Aid
OTHER DUTIES 5%
Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Other Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, pass all required background checks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Social Service, Social Work, Education or related field OR two years of experience in an Early Childhood Program
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Experience in Head Start.
Child Development Associate (C.D.A.) Certificate
