Provide support and assistance to families while encouraging them to become self-sufficient. Assist teacher in classroom; assist families with concerns and needs.
Monitor and track childcare subsidy; actively work with families to maintain the 30 DCF approved activity hours required
Complete family needs assessments and case planning goals to assist Early Head Start families meet their educational, financial, social, health and mental health needs.
Promote the importance of the familys involvement in their childs education. Prepare the family to advocate for their childs educational experiences when transitioned to the public school system
Provide liaison and advocacy services between the family and social service agencies.
Oversee health screenings and ensure program compliance.
Assist the family with coordinating adult educational programs to assist in job preparation/placement, ESL programs, citizenship programs, and other programs that meet each familys needs.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR AIDE 35%
Assist the Teacher with the children, paperwork, and tracking as needed.
Assist with field trips
Organize supplies and materials as needed.
Clean room and make sure the toys and room are in good working order
Daily check of the playground and report any repairs to supervisor
Assist in carrying out daily routines
4 hours are required each day within the classroom
Complete family plan and goals, newsletters, parent notices, etc.
Keep all health documents according to state licensing requirements
Assist in paperwork and filing; including entering into data bases
Participate in any training or conferences as requested.
Provide in-kind opportunities and collect and document.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Recruit income and age eligible children continuously.
Complete Orientation for new families and assist in referrals for entry into the childcare setting.
Follow up with childs classroom attendance.
Attend community meetings
