Job Location: Wichita, KS
Job Type: Full-Time
Troubleshoots and maintains network servers, firewalls, routers, switches and other networked hardware and software. Performs Help Desk responsibilities as required, and works with the Network Administrator to maintain the KCSL network.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
TECHNICAL SUPPORT 80%
Assist Network Administrator with maintenance of the statewide network infrastructure.
Assist Network Administrator with configuring and maintaining IP addresses, routers, switches and firewalls
Assist Network Administrator with maintenance of the statewide communications network which includes phones and internet services.
Install and Maintain network hardware and software as assigned
Assist Network Administrator with maintenance and replacement of office machines which includes but not limited to copiers, printers, and fax machines.
Backup support for the Help Desk to provide effective and efficient computer services.
Update inventory control of computer and peripheral equipment as changes are made.
Provide technical assistance and support for issues related to network equipment, computer systems, software and hardware
Create and maintain accounts in Active Directory
Train Staff on new technologies when they are deployed
Serve as Building Designee/or backup for the office in Wichita.
Make arrangements for repairs and maintenance.
Monthly building inspection reports.

Working Hours Typically Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm
Other Requirements Reliable transportation; current auto Insurance; valid drivers license; ability to pass all KCSL background checks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification in Networking
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work independently
Two or more years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution in computer science, information technology
Three or more years of work experience in networking and server maintenance.
Experience with Windows Server (2012 R2 and 2016)
Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Management
Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
Experience with Fortinet Firewalls
Experience with IP Telephony, Routers and Switches
