To market, rate and prepare proposals and renewals for potential and existing customers in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by the Group Marketing Manager. Essential Functions Statement(s) - Analyze underwriting information submitted by Account Executive and discuss marketing strategy; request additional information if needed
- Determine appropriate markets, prepare RFP's and submit to vendors
- Work with carriers to secure accurate, competitive quotes
- Compile and analyze submitted quotes, meet with Account Executive to determine plans to propose; further negotiate rates with carriers and obtain requotes as necessary
- Prepare spreadsheets and sales proposals
- Stay abreast of carrier products, trends and quoting practices
- Assist the Group Marketing Manager with department projects as needed
- Request renewals rates monthly from inforce carriers for existing business
- Calculate rate comparisons for Account Executives and request alternate benefits options as needed
- Process renewal proposals according to procedures for each group size
- Prepare and assemble renewal proposals for Account Executives or coordinate with support staff in satellite offices
- Maintain the renewal status report
- Utilize Electronic Renewal Log for storage of e-mail communication
- Maintain current rate information from primary carriers and rating systems
- Stay current with underwriting guidelines and product information from primary carriers
- Attend departmental and agency meetings as required
- Perform other duties and projects as required

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Two to four years related experience Computer Skills Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Other Requirements Overtime is expected when required, especially during peak season.
