Job Description:
- Design and/or specify new equipment and systems. Improve existing equipment and systems.
- Layout equipment and support utilities when rearrangements are required.
- Oversee outside contractors when required.
- Assist maintenance with troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Propose and gain approval for new or replacement equipment and systems based on cost saving, increased productivity, or safety.
- Provide EDM support for Tool Room and Die Plates department.
- Perform robotic press machine improvements.
- Perform chamfer grinder loader improvements.
- Train on furnace controls for back-up to maintenance personnel.
- Perform hydraulic press controls upgrades and standardization.
- Provide PLC and hydraulic training for maintenance personnel.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering.
Three to Five years experience in facilities. Must be able to plan and execute projects and complete short-term work assignments independently, with periodic technical direction from higher-level engineer or managers.
