Job Description:
Responsible for the training & performance levels of the employees assigned to his/her activity. Provides instant feedback to employees to help them develop their performance and adherence to company policies. Coordinates the availability of materials and equipment in order to meet the production schedule. Schedule shifts and manage overtime needs, perform all time and attendance functions including payroll approval. Train, develop and enforce expected application of all EHS standards. Participate in Lean projects and insure employees also participate. Coordinate hourly production employees to accomplish daily and monthly production goals, cost targets, budget, tooling expenditures, production yields, on-time delivery, productivity, safety and communications. Coordinate human and capital assets to assure customer satisfaction, safety and quality standards are achieved in the most cost effective manner. Ensure Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Lean, EHS, Quality, Lead Times, Productivity) support the plant goals and objectives.
Experience and Skills:
A minimum of two plus years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment plus a Bachelors degree in an engineering/management discipline is preferred. Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies; SAP or comparable production information system and proficiency in Microsoft applications, i,e, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, is preferred.
