The base oils it markets are the principle raw material used to produce premium motor oil, commercial lubricants, sealants and coatings.

The company owns refineries and chemical plants in Alaska, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Texas; ethanol plants in Iowa; and a biodiesel plant near Fort Worth. In addition, the company owns and operates fuel and/or asphalt terminals in Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Flint Hills owns an interest in a base oils facility in Louisiana and has made equity investments in bioenergy companies. Flint Hills Resources is looking for an Accountant/Analyst 1 to join our team. In this role you will:
- Balance inventory
- Be responsible for weekly & monthly reporting to the Department of Energy
- Contract capturing
- Position/trade status reporting
- Trade settlements
- Position hedging
- Financial analysis
Work Experience & Skills Required: - Strong analytical capabilites- ability to access situation and problems systematically and form logical approaches
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pay strict attention to details
Education Required: - Bachelor`s degree or higher in Business with an Accounting major
