The company owns refineries and chemical plants in Alaska, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Texas, and ethanol plants in Iowa. In addition, the company owns and operates fuel and/or asphalt terminals in Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Flint Hills owns an interest in base oils plant in Louisiana, and a biodiesel feedstock development company in California. In addition to sales offices in North America, the company has a sales presence in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Belgium to serve global customers.
Flint Hills Resources is looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join our Marysville, MI team. In this role you will:
- Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team and a driver for the site safety culture
- Be the owner of all Safety & Health related programs including PSM
- Lead EH&S team
- Lead the site in developing a 10,000% compliance culture
- Lead the site in sustaining, improving, and aligning our EH&S processes with FHR standards
- Support and promote the continued growth of an effective safety culture that believes that all accidents are preventable and "zero injuries" is sustainable
- Ensure emergency response plans and actions actions properly address Marysville hazard scenarios
Work Experience & Skills Required: - 4+ years of industry experience in Health & Safety Management
- Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of general safety programs
- Ability to analyze technical and regulatory information
- Strong communication skills with all levels within an organization
Work Experience & Skills Preferred: - Ethanol, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial environmental experience
- Data analysis experience
- Experience coordinating with governmental agencies and the community (OSHA, local fire, LEPC, etc.)
- PSM & RMP knowledge & experience
Other Considerations: - Successful candidate must be able to climb stairs, and work in confined spaces
