Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage resources to efficiently complete projects and documentation per Koch Pipeline Technical Guidelines
  • Coordinate and plan project timelines and costs
  • Lead inspectors and contractors to timely project completion
  • Maintain accurate construction records and updates of project progress.
  • Prioritize safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance concerns above all else
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to regulatory requirements and technical guidelines
  • Design and implement all projects with the quality required ensuring long-term integrity
  • Learn concepts of Market-Based Management
  • Interface project status and issues from field to project manager
Work Experience and Skills Required
  • Two plus years of experience in pipeline construction or five plus years of experience in construction management.
  • Computer knowledge - specifically the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and proprietary databases (98% of paper work is computer generated).
  • One plus year experience reading alignment sheets, P&IDs, and blue prints
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Work well in team environment and have the desire to learn and apply new concepts.
  • Valid driver`s license
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Construction Science or related field
Work Experience and Skills Preferred
  • One plus year experience with tank construction projects
  • One plus year experience with liquid petroleum pipeline projects
  • Familiarity with pipe fabricating practices
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of OSHA confined space requirements, API 1104 and API 650/653 construction codes, and 4 gas air monitoring and benzene monitoring equipment
Other Considerations
  • Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions equipment
  • Frequently works in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions
  • Frequently climbs ladders and stairs to reach equipment
  • Position requires the ability to be on-call on a rotational basis and to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response
  • Position requires travel of up to 50%
  • Position requires the ability to wear a respirator and to pass a respirator fit test
  • Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Position requires the ability to respond to assigned assets within 30 minutes
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT drug screen, and pre-hire HAZWOPER physical
  • This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identifications Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge within a specific time period.
