We are currently building our capital project management capability and are looking for a talented Capital Projects Leader. In this role you will have the opportunity to work in both ethanol and biodiesel manfuacturing leading a group of Project Managers who are focused on managing capital projects across the renewables business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for the capital project management capability including:
- Contract negotiations
- Project definition and scope
- Financial objectives and project budget
- Communication with other leaders
- Five-year capital spending plan management
- Proactively manage organization talent position and performance by developing and mentoring leaders and potential leaders
- Motivate, align interests and engage employees around project execution and metrics
- Identify opportunities, assist and develop strategies and drive change to improve strategy for capital projects.
Success in this role could lead to other leadership roles within the renewables business as well as opportunities within our refining and chemicals business.
Work Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in process manufacturing environment, e.g., refining, biofuels, chemicals, power generation, corn/soybean oil processing.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in phased gated project process.
Education Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a technical field.
Other Requirements Include:
- Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders to 200 feet.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection)
- Ability to respond to and support emergency issues on a 24/7 basis.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical.
