Senior Geologist - 010531
Description
Koch Exploration Company, LLC is looking for a Sr. Geologist to join our team in Denver, CO. Koch Exploration is actively engaged in oil and gas exploration and development. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a company that has a large inventory of undeveloped acreage and producing properties. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Originate long term value by creating play concepts and opportunities
Prepare advanced-level geological interpretations of Koch Explorations existing oil and gas assets
Participate with multidisciplinary teams in planning and executing optimum property development
Work with a team to evaluate acreage acquisitions, producing property acquisitions, and preparing and presenting geological interpretations for property divestitures
Requirements
5+ years of geological work experience
Experience with unconventional reservoirs
Strong interpretation skills in the areas of stratigraphic and structural geology
Experience incorporating seismic data in geological interpretations
Expertise in the use of mapping and cross-section/log analysis software
Bachelors degree in Geology
Preferred
10+ years of relevant geological experience
Work experience in the Rockies, Mid-Continent and Texas
Exposure to Petra, Kingdom, and HDS or similar software
Understanding of well completion technology
Masters degree in Geology
