Koch Pipeline is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team in Rosemount, MN.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
- Understand and implement applicable environmental regulations to ensure compliance for company operations.
- Pursue excellence in the implementation of environmental programs including: waste management, water resources, air compliance, and chemical management.
- Make sound economic decisions that create long-term value for the company and its customers.
- Champion a proactive environmental culture focused on incident prevention.
- Work closely with field personnel to identify risks and develop/implement risk mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with engineering & construction teams to anticipate and satisfy environmental needs for projects.
- Complete regulatory compliance reports accurately and on-time.
- Assist with emergency response activities including planning, drills, and response.
- Develop and provide effective training on environmental subject matter.
- Perform periodic self-assessments and participate in audits to verify compliance and system effectiveness.
- Conduct incident investigations for environmental incidents and near misses.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in environmental with a working knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
- Excellent organization, communication, and computer skills with a strong attention to detail in all aspects
- Collaborate with all levels of employees
- Ability to respond to calls for 24/7 emergencies
- Valid drivers license
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or related discipline
Preferred
- Prior experience working in or for the pipeline or petroleum industry
- Five years of experience in environmental
- Previous experience with Health & Safety or Emergency Response
Other Considerations
- Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Frequently climbs ladders and stairs to reach equipment
- Frequently works in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions
- Position requires travel of up to 25%
- This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identifications Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge within a specific time period.
