A successful candidate for this role will be responsible for effectively managing and implementing the Koch Pipeline Company (KPL) Damage Prevention Program in the Eagleville/Northern Operations area.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: effectively locating and marking the underground location of our pipelines and other assets (i.e. electrical conduit, cables) in the Eagleville/Bethany, MO area, following all procedures to ensure KPL asset integrity during foreign line crossings, effectively interpreting/complying with applicable state one-call law requirements and one-call ticket responsibilities and effectively documenting all activities surrounding ticket/work activities.
Will be reading and interpreting drawings/maps and installing permanent markers/signs in the ROW areas when necessary.
Required:
- Damage prevention / line locating experience
- Experience reading/interpreting maps and drawings
- Must possess a strong customer focus
- Must be able to speak in front of a public audience
- Be a self-starter requiring minimum direct supervision
- General mechanical or electrical skills
- Basic skills using computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Valid drivers license
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus either a 2 year Technical (mechanical / electrical) degree OR 2 years of relevant field experience.
Preferred:
- One year of experience working in pipelines operations or a damage prevention role
- One year of prior experience/knowledge in either electrical or mechanical skill sets
- 6 months experience working on industrial mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves and motors
- Previous experience speaking to an audience.
Other Considerations:
- Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions equipment
- Frequently works in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions
- Frequently climbs ladders and stairs to reach equipment
- Position requires the ability to be on-call on a rotational basis and to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response
- Position requires travel of up to 25%
- Position requires the ability to wear a respirator and to pass a respirator fit test
- Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Position requires the ability to respond to assigned assets within 30 minutes
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT drug screen, and pre-hire HAZWOPER physical
