Retirement Benefits Analyst - 015201
Description The Koch Business Solutions Retirement Programs Team supports 5+ business groups with over 40,000 employees. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our 401(k) team as a Benefits Analyst. The person in this position will be a part of a dynamic, collaborative and entrepreneurial team that takes ownership of third-party vendor management and administration of multiple defined contribution plans. The responsibilities for this role will include: - Perform data validation from daily HR edit reports and vendor recordkeeping system
- Provide audit support for retirement plans with external auditors
- Support auditing transactions with vendors
- Review and coordinate response with compliance team to subpoena requests
- Review and respond to Social Security Administration benefit request letters
- Research historical data and plan provisions to respond and resolve employee escalations and special cases
- Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, union negotiations, and plan design studies
- Communicate with employees about retirement benefits
Work Experience Required: - At least 2 years experience in 401(k) administration
- At least 2 years experience in pension plan administration or working knowledge of defined benefit plans
- Ability to analyze high volume of data to identify patterns or root cause of issues using multiple data systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Experience working with vendors
- Experience working on an HRIS system (such as SAP) or a 401(k) recordkeeping system
- Strong knowledge of guidelines and rules governing qualified retirement plans
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast moving environment
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Work Experience Preferred: - Experience with SAP
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong customer service background
Education Required: - 4 year degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or related field or equivalent work experience
Education Preferred: Certification or working towards completion of CEBS or similar designation
