Roles / Responsibilities
Role: Provide security, safety, and customer service for Koch Companies employees, guests, and contractors.
Responsibilities: Console activities including monitoring cameras; vehicle and foot patrols; staffing static posts and lobbies; first responder activities, motorist assistance and other assigned duties.
Security:
- Provide security by monitoring cameras, access control, alarms and physical security for site through foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring entrances and responding to alarms
- Respond to medical, fire, and hazmat related situations
- Present a professional image in appearance and behavior
- Follow contact lists, make appropriate notifications, coordinate information to obtain a positive outcome of situations
- Create detailed written incident report
Teamwork:
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster a positive attitude in others by example
- Function as a team player within the department and company
- Support lobby receptionists and facility services as requested
- Coordinate with Lead Security Officer to maintain and update call lists, processes and procedures and other manuals to ensure information is current
Continuous Improvement: - Continually upgrade skills and help others do the same
- Help the department improve by continuing to enhance the level of skills and services provided to our customers
Work Experience/ Skills & Education REQUIRED
- 1+ year prior security, law enforcement, customer service or military
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have general computing skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays
- Candidate must have and maintain a valid drivers license
- Must have the ability to pass CPR/First Aid, AED and Private Security training course
- Must be able to obtain a Basic Private Security Permit through the City of Wichita
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience/ Skills & Education PREFERRED
- College experience in a related field
Physical Demands/ Unusual Working Conditions
- Viewing multiple video sources and computer screens to determine appropriate actions
- Extended periods of sitting, walking, and driving
- Ability to provide motor vehicle assistance to include - tire changes, jump-starts, etc.
- Ability to move rolling bins greater than 200 pounds
