- facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing and economic perspectives between business units,
- publishing monthly, quarterly, and annual management basis and GAAP reporting packages to executive management.
As a member of the Technical Accounting and Reporting team, you will help our business accounting and finance leaders navigate through complicated transactions and events, from evaluation through integration and reporting, in a multifaceted global business environment. While in this high-profile position, you will gain a broad understanding of our business units and the multiple industries they operate in. This opportunity will provide you the ability to learn from all levels of management in one of the largest private companies in America.
Position Summary - Prepare and assist with the consolidation and review of recurring reporting packages to include financial statements, analysis and commentary, as well as assist in the preparation of yearend GAAP financial statements
- Assist with preparation and presentation of special reporting to include our quarterly Board of Directors and Treasury reporting packages, as well as our consolidated financial plan and forecasts
- Assist in the cross-company collaboration and coordination of audit management activities relating to our global statutory reporting requirements in more than 60 countries
- Assist with research, interpretation and application of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Participate in ad hoc Technical Accounting & Reporting initiatives and projects
Qualifications Required - 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in financial reporting, technical research, or audit
- Organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask projects in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and understand complex accounting concepts
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly
- Proactive/self drive work habits
- Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting
Preferred - Experience in financial reporting preparation/review
- Experience in compliance/internal financial controls
- Public accounting experience
- Strong computer skills (SharePoint, Access, Excel)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA License)
Other Considerations - May be required to work beyond 8:00 am 4:45pm schedule
