Looking for a motivated team player to be responsible for daily crude oil custody transfers and daily operations of our Minnesota pipeline terminal at Clearbrook. Individual must understand the importance of safe work and environmental stewardship, and must apply that thinking process to all duties. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accurate measurement of crude oil from external pipeline sources into the Clearbrook terminal via automated computer controlled equipment.
- A successful candidate must understand and comply with all federal, state, and company regulations, policies, API procedures, and guidelines.
- Individual must perform daily inspections of terminal assets, monitor daily operations via terminal computer systems and perform light maintenance/ troubleshooting throughout the facility.
- Individual is expected to make sound economic decisions during the discharge of their duties as described above.
Requirements:
- General mechanical or electrical / troubleshooting skills
- General electrical knowledge (AC/DC Voltages)
- Applied mathematical skills related to accurate measurements
- Computer knowledge - specifically the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and proprietary databases.
- Communications and organizational skills
- Must be able to work without direct supervision to accomplish goals and meet schedules.
- 12 hour rotating shifts are required for this role.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus: 2 year Technical or Associates (mechanical / electrical) degree OR 2 years of relevant field experience (e.g. mechanical, electrical, measurement, operator, etc.)
Preferred: - 6 months general pipeline mechanical maintenance/troubleshooting experience
- 6 months experience gauging storage tanks
- 6 months crude oil measurement experience.
- 6 months pipeline terminal experience.
- Bachelors Degree

- Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions equipment
- Frequently works in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions
- Frequently climbs ladders and stairs to reach equipment
- Position requires the ability to be on-call on a rotational basis and to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response
- Position requires travel of up to 25%
- Position requires the ability to wear a respirator and to pass a respirator fit test
- Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Position requires the ability to respond to assigned assets within 30 minutes
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT drug screen, and pre-hire HAZWOPER physical
