Job Title: Lead Person Department: Megepure FLSA Status Non-Exempt Hours /Week: DAYS either Sundays - Tuesday and every other Wed or Thursday Saturday and every other Wed- Not Determined at this point - must be flexible. 1. Reason why job exists: To lead a membrane manufacturing shift. 2. Summary of Position: Leads team of up to 30 hourly workers on one shift in production of membrane products. 3. Job Duties
- Lead daily Safety tool box meetings.
- Assign daily tasks/assignments to production operators to meet production schedule.
- Identify provide and track required training for production operators. Provide feedback to Shop Floor Manager / Department Manager on training progress.
- Provide feedback to employees on their performance
- Monitor production equipment status and provide feedback to Shop Floor Manager / Department Manager
- Perform move tickets, material issues and production receipts on Manufacturing work orders.
- Data collection entry (Production logs etc.)
- Monitor Floor stock, request material transfers to the various work centers
- Monitor Lean production flow, Identify obstacles and work with Shop Floor Manager / Department Manager to remove.
- Investigate/ resolve process issues with product, material and equipment problems on the line.
- Monitor scrap; participate in root cause and corrective actions to reduce/eliminate. Provide feedback on quality to Shop Floor Manager / Department Manager
- Monitor housekeeping, assign tasks, identify issues and provide feedback to Shop Floor Manager / Department Manager
- Review work order routes, narrative and instructions for accuracy. Provide employees with special instructions as required.
- Participate on Safety/Compliance, Quality and productivity improvement projects.
- Respond to emergencies
- Print shop papers, print labels, prepare batch files
- Build product on floor as needed
- Employee Management (T&A, Reviews, Discipline, Training, Supervision)
- Facilitate maintenance and facilities requirements (Break downs, PM work, Facilities issues)
- Facilitate EH&S Requirements (Training, Near Miss, Accident, JHA`s, Safety Inspection, etc.)
- Coordinate 6s work for area
- Each day receives production schedule and list of prioritized work orders from Scheduler; checks and confirms availability of required materials, equipment, and trained operators; schedules sequential launch of work orders on production lines
- Prints and reviews shop paper for each work order to be released; identifies any questions or discrepancies on instructions or materials list; resolves with Department Manager or Shop Floor Manager prior to release
- Provides feedback to Scheduler and others as indicated on problems or exceptions that could prevent successful completion of parts per plan
