Our Apparel business works with leading consumer brands, retailers and fabric mills all over the world to leverage our innovative ingredient brand fibers including LYCRA fiber, COOLMAX fabric, THERMOLITE fabric, SUPPLEX fabric and TACTEL fiber. INVISTA is a leading supplier in the global apparel markets including ready-to-wear, intimate apparel, swimwear, activewear, outdoor and career apparel.

We are seeking an Operations Controller to drive operations finance initiatives including metrics, best practices, and strategies across our 9 manufacturing sites located on 4 continents. This role will support sites in China, Singapore, UK, South America, Mexico, and the US. The Operations Controller will report directly to the Finance Director and have a dotted line to the VP of Operations.

Expectations:

• Partner with Operations to drive integration of financial metrics across sites and leverage best practices on measurement and consistency.
• Participate and help shape benchmarking awareness and capability within manufacturing by partnering with Operations resources to provide financial valuations for various opportunities.
• Work with operations team to fully understand our compliance and internal control risks and encourage a challenge environment allowing concerns to be brought forward, mitigated and opportunities shared.
• Develop and produce monthly analysis that helps articulate progress, goals, strategies and opportunities.
• Work with site and business leaders to clearly articulate strategies and opportunities ensuring bets are clearly understood and metrics established to ensure tracking.
• Identify waste and eliminate non value adding activities across the manufacturing organization.
• Site profitability and analytical process owner, driving continuous improvement and awareness across all sites of economic performance.
• Drive focus on Return on Capital Consumed and Economic Value Add metrics vs. absolute cost and help sites frame up risk opportunities of stretching for long term value creation vs. short term cost focus.
• Mentor and develop site and business finance capability on operations costing processes.
• Take lead in training (whether actual or plan) to help socialize more of the Financial tool sets and eliminate wastes with manual work around processes.
• Work with manufacturing sites to understand Plant Profit and Losses and how they can affect and utilize them within strategy and visioning processes.
• Integrate regional Plant Accountants and leverage opportunities for knowledge sharing across organization.
  

Required Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting with 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Ability to travel 25%, including international travel

Preferred Experience:

• CPA
• Masters degree in Finance or Accounting
• Experience using financial ERP models
