As the Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day safety in the plant working closely with operators and engineers driving safe work practice, permitting process, Process Safety Management, etc. This includes maintenance, shipping areas, and the laboratory.

• You will maintain safety systems throughout the facility ensuring that. Maintaining relationships with qualified contractors.
  
• You will take the Incident Control Safety Offer role during site incidents with oversight of and execution of closure plans and gap assessments and audit findings.
  
  

Required:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hazard sensitive process environment (steam generation, high pressure reactors, distillation towers, high pressure pumps, hazardous materials, etc.)

Other Considerations:

• Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
  
• Must be able to climb ladders (+100 ft), stairways, vessels, towers, and pipe racks, many involving considerable heights
  
• Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs.
  
• Respirator usage will be required
