Description
Koch Fertilizer, LLC and its subsidiaries own or have interests in nitrogen fertilizer plants in the United States, Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago.The companies cover global demand through terminals in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, France and the United Kingdom. Koch Fertilizer, LLC and its subsidiaries; including Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC and Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC; have the capability to market and distribute more than 12 million metric tons of fertilizer products annually.
THE OPPORTUNITY: Accountants within Koch Fertilizer are involved with business transactions and decisions and interact with a diverse group of business people within accounting, tax, information technology, marketing, operations, trading, logistics, and other Koch companies. Additionally, you will gain a solid understanding of the company you support, including profit drivers, industry, competitors, and the market in which the business competes.
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Accounting Manager to lead a team in the execution of financial, governmental, statutory and tax reporting activities of Koch Fertilizer; a growing, global company. A successful individual in this role must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a solid understanding of US GAAP, previous financial reporting and tax experience, strong analytical, critical and economic thinking skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a desire to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities would include assisting with Koch Fertilizers internal, corporate and external financial and tax accounting, reporting, and legal entity restructures. This will include coordination, execution and timely completion of Koch Fertilizers numerous applicable governmental and foreign statutory reporting requirements in both the United States and numerous foreign jurisdictions. The successful candidate will assist in driving continued development, improvement and implementation of reporting processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
- Strong analytical, critical and economical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to grasp complex issues as well as pay strict attention to details
- Previous financial reporting experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
Preferred: - Previous supervisor experience
