Our Port Arthur, TX chemical plant is hiring a Construction & Turnaround Manager to join our Technical team. Our chemical plant is poised for extensive growth due to expansions on site. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the construction services for major projects working with the Project Managers, contract coordinators, planning, project controls and Production Coordinators
• Manage turnarounds for all units with adherence to the turnaround process
• Drive alignment of turnaround objectives by communicating necessary activities and/or issues to owners and sponsors
• Drive the scope development process by working with Reliability Center Coordinators, Process Coordinators, Project Managers and Execution Coordinators for turnarounds
• Oversee the development of turnaround estimates and detailed turnaround planning efforts
• Support development of estimates and schedules for projects which could range between $20 MM - $300 MM
• Manage and plan for interactions between major projects and turnaround resources working during the turnaround window

Requirements:

• 3+ years of construction experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Construction leadership experience on projects over $10 MM in a heavy industrial environment
• 10+ years of chemical processing or refining experience
• Previous turnaround experience as a leader of a medium to large scale turnaround
• High school diploma or equivalent

Other Considerations:

• Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
• Must be able to climb ladders (+100 ft), stairways, vessels, towers and pipe racks, many involving considerable heights
• Lifting requirements up to 50 lbs
• Respirator usage will be required
