THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to the collective size and scale of Koch companies, our analysts have the ability to learn and practice a variety of disciplines, including treasury, market analysis, finance, supply chain/logistics, commercial development, and risk management. In these roles you can develop industry and market understanding; build relationships with traders, marketers and position managers; prepare financial analyses; and advance your knowledge of cash management, financial modeling and credit risk.
Our positions offer an opportunity to:
Develop economic models that predict future business results in support of corporate and business development initiatives to improve profitability and capital efficiency.
Develop market points-of-view for products including supply/demand, global product balances and trade flows, and margin forecasting.
Create detailed production/distribution plans and use economic thinking to optimize the overall supply chain of various products spanning multiple industries
Manage communicating trends in arbitrage and fundamental drivers of market conditions with team members and business leaders.
Gain an understanding of the relevant industries and market structure; build relationships with customers, traders, marketers, and business leaders; become knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with standards and other compliance requirements; cash forecasting; financial analysis.
Provide cash management: Cash forecasting; provide support for short-term working capital and long-term structure requirements.
Create detailed modeling: build ad-hoc models used to optimize scheduling/distribution; credit risk, and financial information.
Deliver profitable solutions through analytical observation and alternative analysis.
Effectively present results and recommendations to senior leadership in both written and oral formats.
Assist with the creation of workflows to improve existing compliance processes, development of new compliance tools, and updates to internal knowledge systems.
NETWORKING
The interns and new hires at Koch companies work directly with business leaders, creating an environment that fosters learning and development. In addition to professional guidance, a variety of social and business-related activities are also available for further interaction with mentors and peers.
REQUIREMENTS
Pursuing a Bachelor`s or Master`s degree, specifically in the areas of Finance, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Marketing (not Graphic Design), Management, Energy Management, Supply Chain Management, or a business-related field.
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
Strong critical thinking skills
THE PAYOFF
