THE OPPORTUNITY
With thousands of employees around the globe, its a necessity to maintain a qualified Human Resources team. HR specialists at Koch companies provide recruiting expertise, payroll, benefits and relocation services, consultation and creative solutions to integrate new initiatives and meet the changing needs of a diverse customer base. Koch provides interns experience which will enhance their business knowledge and leadership skills needed for future success. Projects will include exposure to a variety of business needs and issues facing our HR Community.
Skills and experiences will include:
Gain familiarity with the application of HR policies and business processes in a corporate environment.
Identify success criteria and measurements, evaluate results and make recommendations.
Research best practices on HR related topics and complete analysis of the information gathered.
Assist the HR community with advanced problem solving and develop proof of concept designs for new processing methodologies.
Develop and improve existing tools to educate employees on HR related topics, such as benefits.
Provide HR operational support (i.e. talent management & development, recruiting, onboarding, etc.)
NETWORKING
The interns and new hires at Koch companies work directly with business leaders, creating an environment that fosters learning and development. In addition to professional guidance, a variety of social and business-related activities are also available for further interaction with mentors and peers.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Required:
Successful candidates must be currently enrolled with a minimum junior status majoring in the areas of Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, or a business related degree.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Desire to learn and develop HR and benefits knowledge.
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Candidate must exercise high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Must be able to multi-task, plan, prioritize and display problem-solving skills.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
A willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
THE PAYOFF
We offer competitive wages commensurate with experience. This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.
