Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska that produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC, operates a production facility in Brandon, Manitoba, that produces anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate, UAN and urea. In addition, Koch Fertilizer, LLC owns storage and terminal assets in northwest Europe with trading offices in Switzerland, France and United Kingdom.


Koch Nitrogen Company is seeking a motivated and self-driven Gatekeeper. This position will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure tasks are executed at the most effective time to improve availability and reliability of equipment
• Review and approve work requests insuring that requested work is value added
• Manage and prioritize work requests and work order backlogs
• Collaborate with maintenance and production supervisors and the reliability team to advance the facility`s reliability program and ensure PM`s are completed on time
• Ensure that safety and environmental work is addressed in a timely manner
• Work with personnel initiating work requests to improve the quality of information provided
• Manage maintenance costs and ensure alignment with the plant`s long term goals
• Monitor work process metrics and role performance data to drive continuous improvement of equipment reliability
• Coach operators and mechanics on recognizing equipment needs, taking ownership and becoming reliability leaders
• Assist in the development of reliability plans on critical equipment
• Embrace and cultivate the Market Based Management (MBM) culture by utilizing the MBM framework and guiding principles in everday decision making
• Utilize economic thinking to help drive the reliability efforts, outages efforts, and process improvements

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance or operations
• General knowledge of reliability and maintenance best practices
• Proven communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proven computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and CMMS experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights exceeding 100 feet
• Able and willing to work in an outdoor environment
• Pass a pulmonary breathing test, wear a respirator and full Level A PPE as needed
• Support a continuous process manufacturing facility that operations 24/7 as needed on a periodic basis

• Clear understanding of reliability based maintenance and chemical process operations
• Experience managing maintenance financial plans
• Experience working in a team environment with a cooperative work style
• Associate or 4-year degree from an accredited institution
