Description
Koch Minerals, LLC has an immediate opening for an Accountant II. Within Koch companies, Accountants are involved with business transactions and decisions. You will be able to interact with a diverse group of business people within accounting, marketing, and operations. Additionally, you will gain a solid understanding of the company you support, including profit drivers, industry, competitors, and the market in which the business competes. Due to Koch`s breadth of businesses, available accounting roles are varied and diverse. Our positions offer:
-The ability to manage front to back processes but require hands on, detailed accounting work
-Financial Reporting & Analysis: develop an understanding of the relevant industries and market structure; build relationships with traders, marketers, and position managers; become knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with standards and other compliance requirements; contract capture, position/trade status reporting, settlement (A/R, A/P), cash forecasting; financial analysis
-Accounting processes: Reconciliations; inventory (book to physical reconciliations, accounts Payable/ Receivable)
-Consolidation of financial statements including communication and reporting to the companys Corporate Accounting and Tax departments
Requirements
-2 or more years of related accounting experience
-4 year degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited institution
-Proficient in accounting systems
-Balance sheet stewardship
-Financial statement preparation/analysis
Preferred
-5 or more years of related accounting experience
-Experience in oil and gas industry accounting and reporting (compliance, production royalty)
-Supervisory experience
-Financial reporting and analysis experience
-Cash management experience
-Accounts payable/receivable experience
-Experience with Allegro
-Experience with Enertia
