Description
Koch Pipeline Company, LP (KPL) is seeking a qualified candidate to take part in our Spring 2014 EHS coop program. Students pursuing 2 and 4-year degree programs in science, applied science and engineering programs are encouraged to apply. Goals of the selected intern are to create valued contributions to the EHS performance of a best-in-class pipeline operation that will produce tangible examples of the interns capabilities and work product.
As a member of the Koch Pipeline Company, L.P. team, you will also be part of Koch Industries, Inc.`s affiliates, one of the largest privately-held companies in the world. Koch companies have a presence in nearly 60 countries and employ about 70,000 people.
Job expectations:
- Contribute positively in a team oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage effectively in both individual and team oriented roles with a minimum of supervision
- Be able to work within a manufacturing environment and possess strong interpersonal skills
Requirement:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree [Students pursuing 2 and 4-year degree programs in science, applied science, environmental, safety, or related programs are encouraged to apply] Must have completed at least 2 semesters of degree program.
- Preferred candidates will have worked prior internship in petro-chemical related industry
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple commitments
- Valid drivers license
