Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska that produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC, operates a production facility in Brandon, Manitoba, that produces anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate, UAN and urea. In addition, Koch Fertilizer, LLC owns storage and terminal assets in northwest Europe with trading offices in Switzerland, France and United Kingdom.


Koch Nitrogen Company LLC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Reliability Engineer. This position will support the Technical Leader at the KNCs Beatrice, NE Fertilizer Plant. The role will have the following responsibilities:

• Own Predictive and Preventive Maintenance (PM) program assure proper prioritization of development and execution of the PM plans
• Own the equipment strategy evergreen process and identify opportunities for improvement
• Integrate Reliability Centered Maintenance, Risk Base Inspections, Equipment Condition Monitoring, Root Cause Analysis, Critical Spare Parts Management and other reliability best practices into plants routine activities
• Develop processes to understand and improve the overall life cycle costs of equipment
• Own the Reliability/Availability metric dashboard
• Own the Reliability/Availability task list plan, including a sound prioritization system based on Key Drivers
• Assist maintenance with trouble-shooting

• 2+ years experience in engineering or technical roles relating to equipment reliability and maintenance
• Knowledge of PSM requirements and applications
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• BS in an accredited Engineering curriculum

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights exceeding 100 feet
• Able and willing to work in an outdoor environment
• Pass a pulmonary breathing test and wear a respirator and full level PPE as needed
• Support a continuous process manufacturing facility that operates 24/7 as needed on a periodic basis

• Previous experience at a chemical plant or manufacturing environment
• Experience in Reliability Engineering with Preventative Maintenance focus
• Certifications in predictive maintenance and reliability technologies (i.e. IR, Vibration, UE)
• Maximo CMMS experience
• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
• Training in lubrication/vibration/MI systems
• Certificates in rotating equipment training
