The Environmental Engineer - Water will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local water programs at the North Pole Refinery, Anchorage Terminal, and Fairbanks Terminal. Maintain, amend, and obtain applicable permits, including Industrial Pretreatment, Remediation, Stormwater, and Water Use Permits.
Have a sound understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and meet mandated deadlines associated with any water program recordkeeping and reporting requirements. While tracking key metrics to develop and implement systems and tools to support and improve compliance. Will work closely with operations personnel and management, serving as the point of contact to provide technical support for water compliance questions from facility staff.

Qualified candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Sciences field and have 3 years of related environmental experience. Have the ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credentials (TWIC) Card within 30 days of hire.

Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions:
Must be able to communicate freely and effectively via normal work place channels using phone, computer network, and direct means. Must be able to work effectively on computer for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to perform the essential physical duties of the position including, but not limited to: walking, seeing, hearing, lifting, bending, stretching, climbing, etc.
