Description
Flint Hills Resources (http://www.fhr.com/) is an independent refining and chemicals company. The company has expanded its operations through capital projects and acquisitions worth more than $6.2 billion since 2002. Its refineries and ethanol plants produce fuels that power much of Texas, the Midwest and the Alaska interior. Its petrochemicals are used to manufacture goods such as plastics, building products and packaging materials. Its asphalt is used in communities across the Midwest and Alaska. The base oils it markets are the principle raw material used to produce premium motor oil, commercial lubricants and sealants and coatings.

Job Summary:
- Provide daily LDAR Support for assigned area
- Basic knowledge of HR Safety Policies and Procedures
- Possesses a general knowledge of the FHR CC Refinery and LDAR regulations
- Participate in incident investigations
- Provide LDAR Support during turnarounds, shutdowns and outages
- Conduct safety and LDAR audits
- Provide LDAR on-call support
Work Experience & Skills Required:
- Possesses experience/knowledge working in a refinery/chemical facility
- Functions well within team setting
- Strong thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization within assigned area(s)
- Good communication skills
- LDAR leak detection experience
Work Experience & Skills Preferred:
- Working knowledge in Word, Excel and LeakDAS
- Proficient writing skills
- Possesses a general knowledge of LDAR
- 2 years of petrochemical experience
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions:
- Meet physical demands associated with LDAR tasks in a refining environment
This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test
