The Instructional Designer position incorporates the use of instructional design methodology and technological skills to produce organized and effective learning for employees. The Instructional Designer will build compelling learning experiences that are fresh and innovative and that transfer enduring understanding and have lasting behavioral impact. This role is responsible for the entire instructional design process and will work with subject matter experts in designing learning solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy providing excellent customer service, be skilled in training design and implementation, and have a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new processes, have strong technology skills and knowledge of business banking needs. Essential Job Functions: Provide instructional design consulting services to subject matter experts Manage training projects from initial planning to design, development, and implementation Create learner testing and evaluations as well as monitor and evaluate learner performance Create and facilitate both instructor-led and computer-based training sessions according to course objectives Review existing courses and revise as necessary Present curriculum and lead group discussions in a professional environment Remain current on, evaluate and implement emerging technologies with potential for learning Recommend effective and creative uses of technology to enhance learning Utilize software such as authoring and presentation tools in course development Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all staff levels Skills and Requirements: Knowledge of adult learning principles, facilitation, and learner-centered activities Excellent instructional design capabilities for both instructor-led and computer-based training Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent writing, proofreading, and editorial skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of, and the ability to use current technology proficiently, including a personal computer, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technology based tools Proficiency in authoring tools and screen capturing software Bachelors degree and 1 year experience in instructional design preferred Banking knowledge preferred Good organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail Effective time management and the ability to work independently Ability to function in a high volume and fast paced environment Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Equal Opportunity Employer
