SUMMARY:
Coordinates the delivery of patient care and performs administrative functions on the nursing care units during days, evenings, nights and weekends, supporting the direction established by the Nurse Manager.
EDUCATION:
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse is required, issued by the PA State Board of Nursing. Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience. Five (5) years of experience directing the functions of a nursing unit are required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Five (5) years of clinical staff RN experience is preferred. Three (3) or more years of broad-based management in diverse setting, with an emphasis on problem solving techniques, is preferred.
