Instructor, Equine Studies
Job Location: Cheyenne, WY
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Instruct freshman and sophomore equine theory and some training courses; provide academic advisement for equine and rodeo students; assess student learning; assist the other equine instructor in working with area horse owners to select horses for training and with individuals within equine industry for student internships and job placement; meet and maintain communications with equine advisory committee; assist with the recruitment and retention of students in the equine program; and be involved with the horse judging component of the program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in equine studies, animal science or related field and professional equine experience, including the caring and training of horses, required. Master’s degree and teaching experience preferred.
Compensation:
Salary placement depends on education and directly related professional equine experience. Excellent benefits.
