Job Summary:
Meets or exceeds established production levels for loans based on budget (third party origination) for new business and develops/maintains working relationships with Brokers/Correspondent Lenders.

Essential Functions:
  • Solicits Brokers/Correspondents to originate mortgage loans.
  • Maintains existing base of business and expands volume within region.
  • Expands geographic sales region as directed by management to meet production goals.
  • Solicits other opportunities for business through existing Broker base, i.e. commercial/bulk loans and sub-servicing.
  • Mentors Account Executives by providing training and support with emphasis on sales, the origination process and loan programs.
  • Provides superior service and upholds customer satisfaction to both internal/external customers by answering questions/requests and providing information in a timely manner.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by following the Privacy Policy and keeping information confidential.
  • Complies with bank procedures and follows regulatory, operational and security guidelines.

Secondary Functions:
  • Works with financial centers and other departments to develop other relationships to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Represents the bank in local community by participating in civic and community events and activities.
  • Stays current with industry knowledge and regulations by completing training sessions as scheduled.
  • Contributes to the team effort by working on special projects, performs other job-related duties and accomplishes related results.

Job Standards:
  • Actively pursues business development opportunities within market and consistently establishes new profitable customer relationships as evidenced by meeting established sales goals.
  • Is actively involved in the community and finds ways to leverage those relationships into networking opportunities that result in new business as evidenced by sales reports.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, both in person and on phone, as evidenced by minimal complaints from Broker/Correspondents and management observation.
  • Responds to requests and/or questions within a 24-hour turnaround.
  • Sets the standards for staff on professionalism, customer service, teamwork and attendance as evidenced by management observations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Talking—Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Hearing—Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Seeing—Ability to view a computer screen for an extended period of time and identify individuals visually.
  • Walking—Ability to use feet/legs to move from one place to another specifically in narrow/confined spaces.
  • Finger dexterity—Ability to work with fingers for handling documents and uses a keyboard.
  • Driving—Ability to travel to various/multiple locations or client sites.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Associates Degree in business related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 years combination mortgage or industry related experience, with previous PMI/Retail Loan Origination/Real Estate related commissioned sales experience required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to utilize sales techniques to expand banking relationships, along with initiative and self-motivation.
  • Must have a professional, well-groomed, business-like appearance, with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all types of individuals, provide superior customer service and work well with others.
  • Must be able to utilize industry-related software, available to work a flexible schedule and travel overnight/out of state to develop a customer base.
