Loan Program Coordinator

Job Summary:
Coordinates all tasks related to the development of new loan programs.
Essential Functions:
* Identifies product needs.
* Establishing parameters and documentation.
* Performs new product testing.
* Arranges for training on product knowledge.
* Communicates product information to users.
* Maintains current programs.
* Assist in setup, testing, and training of new software systems.
* Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Secondary Functions:
* Stays current on regulatory issues.
* Contributes to the team effort by performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Standards:
* Answers phone within 3 rings and returns phone calls or responds to requests and/or questions within a 24-hour turnaround.
* Consistently resolves customer service issues without having to involve supervisor.
* Makes sound decisions based upon analysis and judgement as evidence by minimal errors on completed project.
* Possesses good knowledge of most processes in the department within an acceptable time frame as evidenced by the ability to perform duties with limited guidance.
* Processes maintenance requests within 1-2 days with 95% accuracy.
* Must be able to meet established project deadlines with minimal extensions.
* Demonstrated excellent customer service skills both in person and on telephone as evidenced by management observation.
* Able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
* Maintains regular attendance and punctuality as evidence by attendance records.
* Creates and maintains all Product Manuals.
* Answers underwriting and product questions from lending personnel.
* Research/update investor products and guidelines.
* Participate in web and seminar training to maintain knowledge on all investor and product guidelines.
Physical Demands:
* Talking--Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
* Hearing—Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
* Seeing--Ability to view a computer screen for an extended period of time and/or identify individuals visually.
* Sitting—Ability to sit for extended period of time.
* Finger dexterity—Ability to work with fingers to use a keyboard
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required, college level courses in a related field of study preferred.
* Minimum 3 years mortgage banking experience required,
* Loan origination/secondary marketing, and underwriting experience preferred.
* Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and regulatory issues preferred.
* Must have good communication skills, be project oriented, self-motivated and able to budget time to produce results.
* Demonstrated professional manner, with the ability to work well with others is required.
* Must be able to utilize word processing and spreadsheet software.
