Description of Duties/Qualifications:
The successful R&D engineering candidate will be an innovative engineer with strong project management capability. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred with a background developing surgical products being the most relevant. In particular, experience in the following arenas is highly desirable: arthroscopic medical devices (i.e. fixation, manual instruments, electrosurgical; fluid management, etc.) or powered instrument systems (hand pieces; pumps; disposable burs and blades, etc.).
Successful R&D engineering candidates will be motivational, lead-by-example people with the demonstrated ability to get results in a team environment. Experience solving difficult and complex technical challenges through root cause analysis and/or DOE is highly desirable. Training in Six Sigma principals, particularly DFSS, is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required: BSME; BSEE; BSCE; Biomedical Engineering, etc.
