MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receiving and dispersing of parts, from production and other departments
2. Processing incoming purchase receipts; maintaining errorless inventory to support Purchasing, Planning, and Production.
3. Organizing materials to maximize efficiencies: Generating and using A.P.Ws from counting scales
4. Transporting materials between buildings: maintaining reject hold area; moving gas cylinders between and within all buildings.
5. Supporting production work cells; monitoring warehouse security; use of the computer system to generate current picking and lot documents; responsible for product expiration tracking system.
6. Responsible for receiving including verifying accuracy of parcels tendered by transportation vendors;
7. Observing and recording damage; entering information into Manman and LCSS computer system; generating quality inspection documents; generating lot tracking documents
8. Monthly statistical inventory.
9. Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment.
10. Picking, packaging and shipping orders from inventory.
11. Replenishing prime inventory locations.
12. Operates forklift and man-up order picking equipment along with various other lifting equipment.
13. Performs other related tasks including but not limited to performing housekeeping tasks required to keep the work area safe, clean and organized.
14. Performs chemical handling activities as assigned.
15. Performs all mail room functions including the processing incoming/outgoing mail and completing internal mail deliveries across the buildings/company.
16. Sustains and maintains 5S standards and all continuous improvement activities.
17. Must follow all safety policies
18. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB SKILLS:
1. 1-2 years experience, preferable in shipping, receiving or warehouse.
2. Mathematical ability to calculate shipping charges/weights, piece count, unit of measure, etc.
3. Must Safely handle and/or prepare for disposal, all hazardous chemicals and waste using safe handling procedures.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
5. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions,
6. Must be able to work all scheduled overtime.
7. Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment.
8. Demonstrate ability to function, with a positive attitude, in a high performance work team environment.
9. Must be able to perform work at a bench height of 37. 5" to 42"
10. Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day, ability to move about, bends, stoops, uses hands and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
