Description of Duties/Qualifications
ONE POSITION AVAILABLE
1 - 3RD SHIFT
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Perform maintenance on production machines to ensure they are always in top operating condition.
CNC Machine Tools, Presses and Grinders.
Laser Welding and Etching machines
Sterilizing and Packaging equipment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform all assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with established Quality / Regulatory System.
2. Under minimum supervision, maintain and troubleshoot automatic, electro/mechanical equipment involving programmable controllers, servo controllers, robotics, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.
3. Participate in Team Based activities and take ownership of assigned “key holder” duties.
4. Identify safety related issues and provide recommendation for improvement.
5. Perform planned maintenance activities in accordance with Computerized Maintenance Management system
6. Participate in TPM and other CI related activities.
7. Instruct and train fellow Technicians as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB SKILLS
1. Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
2. Strong electronic and electrical skills.
3. In depth knowledge of Computer controlled equipment.
4. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical circuits to the component level
5. Computer expertise with both Windows and DOS, computer networks and MS Office
6. Experience in machine tool industry is a plus
7. Laser experience will be a strong advantage.
8. Experience in operating in a LEAN manufacturing environment will be an advantage
9. Must be reliable and predictably available to perform the major duties of the position at the assigned work site. Must be able to be ready to perform the job tasks at the specified starting time.
10. Must be capable to work for up to eight hours standing and able to lift up to 75 lbs. Unaided
