Primary Duties
Organizes supplies and prepares food for patients, cafeteria, community outpatient services and special functions. Serves and cleans up service area. Performs a variety of storeroom duties such as inventory, ordering, receiving, shelving orders, and receipt of cash payments.
Prepares salads or desserts for cafeteria, patient tray line, and Meals on Wheels; portions salads and desserts for cafeteria, patient tray line, and Meals on Wheels; serves on patient tray or cafeteria assembly line; takes inventory, orders, and stocks shelves; cleans deep fat fryer and other equipment; purchase assorted food locally; prepares service, gathers supplies, and cleans up after special functions; complies with departmental sanitation standards; performs related work as required; sets up and operates cash register in the cafeteria; counts cash and completes cash report form; works on cafeteria line; assemble and deliver late trays or Room Service trays.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read and write plus one year's experience in food preparation on a large scale. High school graduate preferred.
