Position Summary:
Under close supervision, observes patients in a hospital setting for safety.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Essential Function:
Promotes mental alertness through conversation, reading, games, and activities.
Reports changes in patient’s mental or physical conditions to the Registered Nurse.

Job Requirements:
Physical activity – Talking is expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. These activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, both loudly, and or quickly. Hearing is the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts. Repetitive motions are substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Visual Acuity – Ability to assess color changes, verify accuracy of written or pictorial materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently; previous experience in care of the sick or elderly preferred. Ability to understand oral and written communications; ability to exercies judgement to seek help
