Introduction
Merrick & Company is seeking a Project Quality Assurance Manager in our Greenwood Village, CO office.  US Citizenship required.
 
Job Description
The Project Quality Assurance Manager ideally prepares and administers quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs complying with specified requirements (e.g., NQA-1-2008, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 830, Subpart A, etc.) for Department of Energy and Commercial Nuclear Power (design-build) projects.
 
Required Experience:
         Qualified Lead Auditor to ASME NQA-1-2008 standard.
         Demonstrated capability in management of regimented quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs for the design-build of facilities and/or custom equipment and/or containment systems.
         Proven capability to interact with various internal and external organizations and disciplines.
         Extensive knowledge of quality assurance programs based on NQA-1-2008 (including Part II, Subpart 2.7), 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, and DOE O 414.1 D.
         Capability to establish and administer a regimented QA/QC program for a major design-build project.
         Knowledge and experience in developing and administering regimented quality assurance programs for nuclear facility design-build work that includes design development, supplier qualification, source surveillance, commercial grade item dedication, welding, and non-destructive examination.
         Experience in working within the Commercial Nuclear industry and/or DOE complex.
         Active DOE security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
         Ability to travel x%
         Basic knowledge of office and relevant design software.
         Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years design-build project experience.
 
Degree Requirements:  Bachelor of Sciences preferred
 
Certifications:
         US Citizenship required
         Certified Lead Auditor required
         Certified Welding Inspector desirable.
         Nondestructive Testing (e.g., Level II in PT, MT, UT or RT Reference ASNT-TC-1A) desirable.
         Candidate will be expected to attain Lead Auditor certification.
         Active DOE security clearance desirable.
 
Duties:
         Prepares cost estimates, project quality assurance plans, procedures, and instructions
         Administers QA/QC program for control and assessment of project activities (e.g., training, design engineering, procurement, shop fabrication, field construction, inspection, testing, etc.)
         Reviews design documents for conformance to specified requirements
         Provides welding, nondestructive examination, and special processes input to engineering
         Performs supplier evaluation and selection activities
         Reviews procurement and supplier submittal documents for acceptability
         Evaluates the results of examinations to ensure conformance of materials, items, or service to the applicable specifications, drawings, instructions, procedures, contract, or procurement documents
         Administers assessment program for evaluation of project office and field activities for conformance to specified requirements.
