Job Description:
Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations on assigned patients; assesses for acute and chronic medical problems under the direct supervision of the physician. Orders and perform routine diagnostic procedures. Develop and implement treatment plans. Provides instruction to meet patient's needs. Institute and change orders on patient's charts as directed by the supervising physicians. Assists in providing pre and post op care; writes appropriate orders (within the scope of the PA role). Notifies attending physician, house physician or supervising physician regarding any unusual events or problems requiring direct physician consultation.
