Geographic Location: near Dayton, Ohio
Microbiologist (ASCP

Position: Microbiologist

Bachelors degree with ASCP certification
At least 2 years experience performing:

Bacteriology including plate reading, gram stain interpretation, blood cultures and specimen setup
Mycobacteriology - including AFB smear interpretation, identification and DNA probe assay using GenProbe Leader 50i
Mycology including yeast and mold identification
Parasitology including parasite ID wet prep and stained smear, modified acid fast smear for intestinal parasites and blood parasite identification
Immunology Syphilus serology and other latex serology testing
Instrumentation includes Siemens Walkaway 96 (Microscan), BacT Alert 3D and Microbionetics culture Stat
LIS system: Sunquest
Monthly volume: 5000 6000 tests

Hours: 7am-4:30pm(8 hr shifts), work 1 major holiday, every 3rd weekend.
