Steel Buyer opportunity at the MFS/York/Stormor division of Global Industries, Inc. in Grand Island, NE. Global Industries, Inc. is a world-wide manufacturer of grain storage and handling equipment. Steel Buyer focuses on procurement and storage of raw steel for manufacturing. Negotiates contracts for purchase directly from mill and/or warehouse sources of steel. Establishes and manages steel purchasing and index programs (CRUspi and AMM) and determines economic spot buys.
Qualified candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field with a minimum of 5-yrs experience in Supply Chain Management. At least 3-yrs steel industry and project management experience preferred.
